JULY SIZZLES WITH CAO CIGARS AND JACK DANIELS
It's our July dinner featuring our good friend Paul Spence of CAO Cigars. Paul will be giving members a sneak peek
at CAO's newest cigar, La Traviata.
But, that ain't all! Our good friend and member, Seth Nadel of Shopper's Vineyard has informed us that we'll be joined
by the folks from Jack Daniel's for a preview of Woodford Reserve. Woodford Reserve is a bourbon that is produced in
small batches by the Labrot & Graham distillery.
The distillery is in Kentucky, close to the town of Versailles. Woodford Reserve is the official bourbon of the world
famous Kentucky Derby horse race and has won many prizes worldwide. These include a Double Gold Medal at The World Spirits
Competition in 2000 and this made it the first bourbon to ever win that prestigious prize. Thanks to Seth and the folks from
the Metropolitan Society's OFFICIAL provider of adult beverages, Shopper's Vineyard.

METRO FAMILY BBQ PICNIC SET FOR SEPTEMBER 11
Not even a little rain extinguished the great cigars and smiles from Metro members and their families last Fall. So, we've got
another picnic on the schedule for the Saturday after Labor Day, September 11 at the Lake in Lincoln Park, off Comly Road.
The event will be open to members and their immediate families.
We'll have great BBQ, beer and activities for the family, not to mention the karaoke and DJ to add just the right mood music.
It's very important that you RSVP so we can plan for food. There is no charge for the event.

A RETURN TO PETER LUGER'S STEAKHOUSE - SEPTEMBER 22
Jack "Mr. Food" Shakoor is taking us to food headquarters again when we return to Peter Luger's in New York for a repeat
of the great steak we had last fall. We will have a strict limit of 25 members who can sign up. We've chartered a luxury limo bus and will depart
from the club at about 5:00 PM to head to Luger's in Brooklyn.
We've set up an RSVP on the website. It is critical that you sign up if you plan to attend. RSVPs will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can imagine how great this night will be. So, if you think you'd like to join some of your fellow Metro members for what is quite possibly
America's best steak, join us on September 22!

12 MONTHS IN REVIEW VIDEO
Remember, just before the December '09 dinner, we compiled a video of the last 12 months, thanks to our resident photo pro
Tom Stroud. We're going to leave that link here for awhile longer, just in case you'd like to take another stroll through
a hell of a year at the Metro! Take a look!

METROPOLITAN SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES ACCESS TO OTHER CLUBS
We all know where to go to enjoy a cigar in peace when we're home, but where can members go when they’re traveling either on business or vacation? Well, we've been working on answering that question. One way we're doing that and, as part of our commitment to create the greatest value for our members, is through "reciprocal agreements" with other cigar establishments.
We'll, for a start, if it's Miami, Florida or one of nearly 30 locations in Italy, yes Italy, we're happy to tell you that we have a few reciprocals agreements so far. One is with Havana Group Cigars in Miami Lakes, Florida and another is with Hirpus AMICIgar in Italy. You can view a list of AMICIgar locations here.
These organizations are led by wonderful people. So, if you find yourself traveling to either of those places, your Metropolitan Society membership gains you admittance as a member of those clubs as well. Alfredo Vargas' wife Yadina at Havana Group Cigars also heads a great cigar brand, Flor De Gonzalez. So, please consider trying those smooth and creamy cigars, too! We’ll keep you posted on exciting new reciprocals as we strike them.

VISIT OUR INTERNET STORE
We know the feeling. You look around. You see fellow members wearing attractive golf shirts, all emblazoned with The Metropolitan Society logo and colors. You think to yourself "I want that. I need to have it." Well, you know, it’s as easy as just visiting our new Internet "store."
Just visit "Club Store" down the left hand side of our web page to reveal a number of great items to enhance your cigar experience. And, these great values also happen to help The Metropolitan Society.
We’ve got golf and denim shirts, our new 100% linen Guayabera and many other items that enhance the cigar smoking experience. Just look through our "Club Store" here on the website.

DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS
Another great feature we're providing to you is the ability to let your fellow members know what you do, if you so choose. So, if you're a member and may want to use a service from a fellow member, as compared with someone you don't know, you'll be able to view a roster of our people and the businesses they are in as part of the "Private Entrance" on our website.
In order for you to participate, you'll need to login and fill in the spaces provided for your Industry and Business Type on the page that says The Metropolitan Society User System under "My Info." Use the login info you receive in our emails to you.
We will soon have all individual member information feed into a main list of members for all TMS members to view by simply entering the site's "Private Entrance."
