Past Events - CAO
Our July dinner featured our good friend Paul Spence of CAO Cigars. A number of you had the chance to talk to Paul at the Famous Smoke Shop event. Paul gave members a sneak peek at CAO's newest cigar, La Traviata.
Our good friend and member, Seth Nadel of Shopper's Vineyard arranged for us to be joined by the folks from Jack Daniel's for a preview of Woodford Reserve. Woodford Reserve is a bourbon that is produced in small batches by the Labrot & Graham distillery.
The distillery is in Kentucky, close to the town of Versailles. Woodford Reserve is the official bourbon of the world famous Kentucky Derby horse race and has won many prizes worldwide. These include a Double Gold Medal at The World Spirits Competition in 2000 and this made it the first bourbon to ever win that prestigious prize. Thanks to Seth and the folks from the Metropolitan Society's OFFICIAL provider of adult beverages, Shopper's Vineyard.
David Mallow of Barrister Cigars was also on hand with boxes and single cigars for sale at the dinner at special Metro prices.
