Past Events - December 2007 Visit By Italy's Hirpus AMICIgar Club

The Metropolitan Society was happy to recently host Gino Iannillo, president of The Hirpus AMICIgar Club, a member of C.C.A., an association of nearly 30 cigar clubs throughout Italy. During his time with us, Iannillo presented Metropolitan Society Board Member Nick Verdi with a handmade custom ashtray from his club. AMICIgar and the Metropolitan Society are now "twin" clubs with a reciprocal agreement that will welcome visits from members of both clubs. Numerous Metropolitan Society members were on hand to extend a warm New Jersey welcome to Iannillo and his family. The visit was a great touch to cap off the 2007 holiday season. That's Gino's wife Anna looking on as sons Stefano and Antonio play a challenging game of chess.
